Oakbank Motel

Our South Shropshire motel and self catering accommodation at Oakbank Motel faces south and east, overlooking the town. It faces the Hope Bowdler, Hazler, Helmeth and Caer Caradoc hills, across the valley, probably some of the best scenery in Shropshire. We have off road parking for approximately 20 vehicles. The town itself is a five-minute walk away. We have disabled facilities, such as bath lifts, wheelchairs etc, for those who require them.

We are easily reached by rail, road or bus. If traveling by bus or rail we will gladly pick you up from the station, just ring the mobile number when you get there. Oakbank is run on an informal friendly basis by David and Elizabeth Bayley, both retired former company directors who are enjoying living in Church Stretton and meeting the wide variety of people who visit.

We are ideally suited to providing accommodation for local family and friends who are hosting wedding and anniversary parties, and offer ideal accommodation for larger parties who wish to remain together, such as walking groups or wedding guests. We have 3 studio apartments (each with a double bed) , 9 double rooms and 3 family rooms, and can sleep up to 25 people. We also have a bunkhouse which sleeps 4, is self-contained and self-catering with TV, table, chairs, shower etc. WiFi is currently planned for summer 09 and will be available from all accommodation. No pets allowed apart from Room 8 if a dog basket is provided.
