Whether you’re cycling the Devon Coast to Coast cycle route or more ambitiously, Land’s End to John O’Groats, you will find a convenient overnight stop with us is just what is needed to recharge your energy levels for the next day. From the cream tea on arrival (subject to arrival time), the ensuite bedroom with a very comfortable bed, to the delicious choices of breakfast the next morning, you will not be disappointed. We offer secure storage for your bicycle and a picnic lunch should you require one for your onward ride. Finally, if you are not already convinced, our local pub the New Inn is just a couple of minutes walk away, offering a warm welcome and delicious food and drink.

Middletown Farmhouse is located in the heart of the historic and picturesque West Devon village of Sampford Courtenay. Just 4 miles north of Dartmoor National Park and 6 miles from Okehampton, the tranquil setting is the perfect resting point after a hard day in the saddle. Tucked away in beautiful countryside, with a network of quiet country lanes, yet not too far from more direct routes, cycling guests in the past have found this to be the perfect stopover.
