Situated in the White Peak area of the National Park
Elton Holidays offers the holiday maker either 4 Star Bed and Breakfast or 2-4 Star Self Catering Holiday Cottages in the conservation village of Elton, twice winner of the best Derbyshire village competition.
Elton (pop ~400) is situated in the White Peak area of the National Park, about 6 miles equi-distant between Bakewell and Matlock. Very peaceful, no crowds - yet very convenient for all the attractions in the area. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton Dovedale and Ashbourne are all close by. If you prefer walking, Elton is the ideal place for you. The White Peak Trail and Limestone Way are on the doorstep. Horse riding is available 4 miles away, or cycles may be hired for the nearby Tissington Trail.
All our cottages are fully equipped, centrally heated, linen towels and utilities inclusive, stair gates, cots and high chairs available, no extra charge. Parking is available for all cottages and guest house in our private car park, we also have a lock up garage for cycles/ motor cycles. Possible s/c short breaks available. Sorry, no pets.
B&B
We have 2 very big bed/sitting rooms for double family or twin accommodation in this lovely old former farmhouse. Both are furnished with antiques including 4 poster beds. Possible extra B&B accommodation in our holiday cottages when available.
Each room has its own good sized en-suite bathroom with bath and electric shower, Freeview TVs, drink making facilities and internet access.

Location
Elton is situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park, on a hillside overlooking a rock formation known as Robin Hood’s Stride. It lies on the division between gritstone and limestone countryside, known as the White and Dark Peak District Areas, and therefore spoilt for choice of where to visit first. There are actually examples of buildings and walls constructed with both types of stone in the village. It is a popular destination for cyclists and tourists looking for a quiet and relaxing time in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the towns and cities in this country and visits from all over the world.Elton has numerous music festivals throughout the summer term and a beer festival during August, which are held on the ‘Jubilee Field’ (known to villagers as ‘The Thistle`). There is a pub in the village and many more nearby.
