Melrose Guesthouse

The guest house is personally run by the owners, Alan and Lynn Salter, who will ensure your stay is a truly relaxing one. The guesthouse (B&B) is furnished to an excellent standard, as identified by its four star, silver rating by Visit Britain. In addition, we have the cyclists Welcome and the Walkers welcome certifications. There is full central heating to provide constant hot water and warmth after a day out on the fells.

All guests have a front door key, to come and go as they please. There is safe storage for bikes, hard standing for motorbikes, also drying facilities for outdoor clothing. We provide free flask refills- just ask after breakfast. We have an excellent selection of maps and books and are always ready to suggest nearby walks or biking routes you may wish to try directly from Ambleside. If you would like a daily newspaper to read in the morning, please let us know your requirements. All rooms have WiFi coverage. We also have membership for the Salutation Hotel and Spa leisure facilities that guests are welcome to utilise during their stay.
