Cycle to Work Day was best yet
This year's Cycle to Work Day saw the number of riders participating rocketing to more than 15,000. The national event took place on 3rd September and proved a real hit with commuters.
A brief look at the stats shows this year's event is the best ever.
• 32,763 riders in 2015 compared to 17,472 riders in 2014
• 489,674 miles in 2015 compared to 261,315 miles in 2014
• 872 employers in 2015 compared to 394 employers in 2014
Commuters and companies all across the UK joined together in a day to celebrate cycling, promoting health and wellbeing, there was also TV and radio coverage which all helps to boost the awareness for the campaign which aims to get a million people on their bikes by 2021.
