LOVELY LARGE HOLIDAY COTTAGE FOR RENT AT YOUTH HOSTEL PRICES!************
Standing in a glen that boasts no fewer than 21 Munros.
For Walkers and Climbers
Woodlands is a fantastic base for walkers and climbers. Apart from the multitude of Munros in Glenshiel itself, (the Five Sisters and Saddle being accessed directly from the house!), there’s a whole host of other walks to do including coastal, valley and woodland. Other mountain ranges reachable from Woodlands are The Cuillin hills, Torridon, Ben Nevis range, Glen Affric, Glenelg and Knoydart. In addition Glencoe is about two hours away.
For the Tourer
Woodlands is extremely well-placed for touring the Highlands and Islands. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Applecross accessed via the highest road in Scotland, or take a cruise along Loch Ness and visit Urquhart Castle. Closer to home there is the glorious Glenelg peninsular, the delightful Plockton or you may fancy going over the sea to Skye. Go whale watching, take a seal trip, sail in a glass bottomed boat, go boating, pony trekking, mackerel fishing or just relax in the house and enjoy the views
