We are perfectly situated for exploring the undulating picturesque countryside, tasting renowned cheeses, sampling sparkling cider and of course, the famous Calvados.

Biking is a pleasure on the quiet laneways and you benefit from our very central location within easy reach of all sights.

Once a working farmstead, the grounds (9 acres) have been re-designed with 30 large individually marked pitches, hedges, apple trees and borders overlooking lush green fields.


To the North of St Martin des Besaces are the D-day Landing Beaches, where they recently celebrated the 65th Anniversary of the landings, and Bayeux with its famous tapestry. To the South is the historic and pretty village of Domfront, within Normandy’s large regional park. To the East in Suisse Normand (little Switzerland) is Clocy with a miniature railway and the River Orne for canoeing and fishing. To the West lies the breathtaking Le Mont St Michel and the beaches along the Cotentin shoreline. Within the village, there is a Museum dedicated to the liberation of the Bocage Region and for the more adventurous - nearby Bungy Jumping.
