Les Ballastières is a bike-friendly B&B run by bikers, Paul and Sue, originally from East Sussex. Members of MAG and HDRCGB, we welcome all makes and models of bikes.

Within easy reach from Calais, Boulogne and Dunkerque, and standing in 6 acres, Les Ballastières is a 200-year old farmhouse with a large courtyard. Les Ballastières is set in peaceful countryside yet within easy walking distance of St Pol-sur-Ternoise, and only 5 minutes from the race track at Croix-en-Ternois!

We offer:
* Four comfortable bed & breakfast rooms. Two are large en-suite rooms, each with double bed and double sofa bed, shower, toilet and basin, and two are twin-bedded rooms sharing a shower room (with toilet etc).
* A wheelchair-friendly studio, The Old Forge, which is suitable for all. This has a kitchen area, bed-sitting room and large wet room. Can be let B&B or self-catering.
* The Old Stable: self-catering for up to 5 people.
* The Hayloft ’indoor camping’ in 5 small ’pods’ each sleeping 1-3, for both groups and individuals. Open from Easter to October, it is separate from the bed & breakfast. You bring your own sleeping bags, towels and toiletries. We provide simple beds, with proper mattresses, and hot showers etc, with no need to cross a damp field!

* Large games room with a kitchenette and sitting areas - and a portable skittle alley

Location

In the heart of the 7 Valleys, Les Ballastières is within easy reach of the Somme, along some great riding roads, where there are many historic sites including the WW1 battlefields and their imposing memorials. By contrast, there are also good roads to the pretty coastal town of St Valery-sur-Somme, the popular resort of Le Touquet, the medieval town of Montreuil, as well as the bigger towns of Arras, Lille and Amiens.
