A small, friendly campsite located in the heart of a region of wooded hills, lakes and rivers - Camping les Chenauds offers the perfect escape for all camping and glamping enthusiasts.
The area is popular with bikers, cyclists and ramblers – and in fact anyone who appreciates spectacular scenery, nature and wildlife in abundance couldn’t fail to love this place.
In July 2016, the Tour de France is once again passing through the Limousin. At less than an hour from Limoges, the finish and starting point of stages 4 and 5, Camping les Chenauds is the perfect place for support crews and spectators to stay.
We have 8 pitches – 6 of which have electrical hook up, if required. Tables and chairs are provided for your use and there’s a new above-ground swimming pool (decking surround in progress).
Do you fancy travelling light? Then why not hire our spacious 5 berth caravan? It’s reasonably priced and is fully equipped with crockery, pans, utensils and other basics. Bedding and towels are also available, if required. However, if you fancy losing yourself in the woods, and glamping is more your style, our luxury yurt with hot tub is available for hire from May. May is also opening time for the campsite snack bar – so no need for you to cook breakfast either. We do try to make you feel at home.

Accommodation Facilities
There’s a fresh water point beside the gate to the shower block.A well-lit flight of steps, leads from the campsite to the shower block where you’ll find a shower cubicle with a hot shower, a WC and also a washbasin.
Service washes available at 5 € per washer-load.
We’ve only recently taken ownership of the campsite and facilities were in a disgusting state when we arrived. Please don’t judge us on any previous experience you may have of this campsite – e.g. cleanliness, state of facilities or warmth of welcome and service levels in general.
The facilities mentioned are new and we’re working hard to extend these without disturbing our guests.

Location
Whilst nestled in a peaceful hillside location, Camping les Chenauds is also adjacent to a main route, allowing easy access to the region’s towns, villages and varied attractions as well as the picturesque Limousin countryside.Spectacular Lac Vassiviere with its sandy beaches, restaurants, bars, water sports and other activities is just a 20 minute drive away and perfect for a family day out.
However you choose to travel here, Camping les Chenauds is easy to find, and once found, is somewhere you won’t want to leave too soon.
