We are approximately a 10 minute drive or a 5 Euro Taxi ride from the centre of Kenmare, which is renowned as being the south west`s Gourmet town. Kenmare is situated where the Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara cross and this area boasts some of the very best sight seeing and tourist attractions in the South of Ireland, namely the Gap of Dunloe, Bonane Heritage Park, Kenmare Bay, Coornagillagh Beach & of course Kenmare town itself and so provides a delightful area to visit and is an ideal base for touring.

We opened SheenView in 2006 and wanted to make it a special place to stay. We are proud to say that our hard-work paid off as we were recognized in 2006 with an award from the Irish Tourist Board for services to travel and tourism in Ireland.
The first bikers stayed with us in the summer of 2006, a Dutch couple, Frank and Elizabeth who came upon us whilst on their travels around the ring of Beara on their motor bike and sidecar. They came to stay for 1 night and ended up staying for three. After their visit we decided to advertise on biking websites and since doing so have had a few more come to stay.

We have now had many bikers and their partners + children to stay and they always have a great time, with some cracking route maps we have especially for bikers where there won’t be any cars :-)
