Situated in arguably the best coastal location in Islay this old drove inn offers a mix of 11 double/twin/family rooms + 1 single room - all with en-suite facilities. Our Self Catering Apartment is available all year round and sleeps 4/5 - lets are on a weekly basis. At Port Askaig Hotel you can find quality malts and a menu featuring local Islay meat and seafood from the daily catch. Our Starboard Restaurant offers Bistro style dining with a full meal service in both bars and hot snacks available outwith main meal times. Our Port Bar is the oldest licensed premises on Islay and features an extensive selection of Islay Malts and a display of old and rare bottles, whilst the Snug Bar is ideal for a pre-dinner drink or a cosy evening with friends. Port Askaig is an ideal base from which to explore the varied delights of Islay including sea or loch fishing, cycling, walking, swimming from fabulous beaches, the Malt Whisky Trail, ancient history or The Clans and Lords of the Isles, or for simply enjoying the fabulous scenery - Islay has it all.
Port Askaig Harbour - the newly upgraded harbour facilities are suitable for smaller visiting boats and we are always willing to assist with fuel outwith standard opening times at our adjacent filling station and stores. Late arrivals should phone 01496 840 245 or 01496 840 747 for information.

In addition, we have a Self Catering Apartment with 2 double/twin rooms with space for a 5th guest.
Each room is prepared for your comfort including hairdryer, towels, hospitality tray, extra blankets, shampoo and soap.
All bedrooms are situated on the first floor with easy access from the car park at the rear of the building.
