Riverside House and Motorhome Site

The former Victorian Quarry masters house,later shop,was originally at the village end of the Talyllyn railway track, where the heavy goods coming by train were unloaded.It’s peaceful riverside gardens enjoy romantic views of the Talyllyn Valley. We also have a 5 van ’Practical Motorhome’ Night-Stop, and a Motor-Caravanners Listed site which is available for non members of the Motor-Caravanners Club. Situated in the South Snowdonia National Park makes Riverside House an ideal location for, Walkers, Cyclists or just for a weekend break away.Evening meals are available at the Pub, 150 yds up the road. Local attractions include,the Talyllyn Railway that runs into the village. The Slate Quarry,the reason for the railway,Dolgoch Waterfalls and a real Welsh Castle,CASTEL-Y-BERE, Mary Jones also lived near here.

Riverside House dates back to the 1840s, it was originally the "Quarry masters" house of The Abergynolwyn Slate Quarry.

On arrival you’ll notice the many original features including the slate flooring in the entrance hall.
