The Black Bull - Hotel - Bar - Restaurant

Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to the Black Bull Hotel, Reeth’s oldest surviving Inn. It’s where the locals go, come and join them for a warm Yorkshire Dales welcome.

Dating from 1680, the Black Bull is Reeth’s oldest surviving Inn. Overlooking the village’s expansive green, this old hostelry provides quality accommodation and a wide variety of foods ranging from bar snacks and our popular Carveryto table d’hote and an a la Carte menu in our intimate restaurant.

A fine selection of real ales and quality wines are offered in our traditional bar whilst regular live music and special events contribute to the special atmosphere that attracts locals and visitors alike. Accommodation can be found in one of our well appointed en-suite rooms, most with stunning views of Reeth and Swaledale.

The Black Bull Hotel, the surrounding area has much to offer people of all ages and interests. From Pony trekking to Pot holing, Museums to Mountain biking. Pick up a leaflet from the Hotel reception or visit Hudson House Dales Visitors Centre just next door to us.

Visit the historic castles of Richmond, Castle Bolton and Jervaulx Abbey. Travel west over Tail Brigg to the market town of Kirkby Stephen, south over the Buttertubs Pass to Hawes or north over Stang to Barnard Castle.
