Glan y Wern holiday cottage sleeping four in a pretty village in North Wales - cyclist owned!

Glan y Wern is a spacious self catering holiday cottage in North Wales and is an ideal destination for a cycling or mountain biking holiday. We are avid cyclists and mountain bikers so can help with any questions you may have about the area. In fact we bought the cottage based on the excellent cycling and riding close by!

We have two bedrooms (one en suite), a comfortable lounge with log burner, well equipped kitchen diner, an enclosed garden and a sunny patio with barbecue which overlooks fields.

Within a two minute walk are two historic pubs both serving fantastic food. One of which was recently voted one of the 30 cosiest pubs in the UK by the Daily Telegraph.

We have secure bike storage, off road parking, bike washing facilities and plenty of room to dry wet cycling gear.

The nearest train station is an easy 11 mile ride away in Chirk.

If you want a break from cycling, then within a short drive you can reach the popular tourist destinations of Llangollen, Bala and Betws-y-Coed. There is also lots to do in the area for families with children (we have two ourselves so can recommend places to visit).
