Location

The local area, the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley has some great things to do - both man-made and natural but all of them well worth a visit or worth trying. You may wish to discover the area’s history, or enjoy a stroll around a nature reserve.
Explore the many trails through the ancient Forest of Dean on foot, by bike or on horseback, or why not get the adrenalin pumping with something more adventurous such as a high wire rope courses. The area is also home to one of the best rivers in the country for canoeing and kayaking, the river Wye and there are some great fishing lakes and golf courses. Whatever you try, you’re guaranteed to get a taste for our fresh air and come back for more.
There’s an array of family oriented attractions where you can all have fun, relax or enjoy some animal magic. On rainy days there’s also plenty to do from museums to caves or how about spending some time riding a steam train through the forest or taking a cruise down the River Wye.
There really is no shortage of ideas for things to see and do in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.
