Casa Las Encinas is the perfect place to escape the stresses of daily life, chill out and recharge your batteries. It is a 150 year old Andalucian farmhouse that has been lovingly and sympathetically renovated to create an intimate retreat full of ambiance, original features and Spanish charm.
Nestled among verdant olive groves with stunning mountain and lake views, Casa Las Encinas is built around a cobbled internal courtyard which in summer is shaded by an ancient vine festooned with delicious grapes. If fresh figs are more to your taste we also have a plentiful supply in season.
If you don’t want to switch off completely, we have WIFI so you can easily keep in touch with the outside world.
If you just want to hang out, there are plenty of spaces, both internal and external, in which to relax. Whether you are a sun lover who wants to top up your tan or someone who prefers the shade, Casa Las Encinas will meet your needs. In winter when the nights are chilly you can snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove in our cosy lounge.
It is a fantastic base from which to explore Moorish Spain and the rich culture of the splendid cities of Granada, Cordoba and Seville.
Nearer at hand, we have a beautiful lake only 10 minutes’ drive away which has a sandy beach, large communal swimming pool, sailing club and two beach bars. We are situated on the edge of the Subbetica National Park which is a haven for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, artists and photographers.
The tradition of free tapas is still alive here as is the opportunity to mingle with the locals in the bars and restaurants where you will get a flavour of real not tourist Spain.
